Course Description

In-service students will participate in an online Professional Learning Community (PLC) during their final term of course work.  The Professional Learning Community will be administered by a Faculty Advisor.

Course Outline

The PLC will require a minimum of one hour of commitment each week during the course work.  The PLC will include discussions on (but not limited to):
  • Impact of course work on teaching practice
  • Insights gained from course work



OSAP Funding for IB Courses

The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) now includes funding for hundreds of micro-credential programs. The micro-credentials plan ensures loans and grants will be available to more learners to rapidly upskill and reskill for in-demand jobs. Please be advised that IB courses ares on the list of eligible courses for OSAP funding. Who can get OSAP


OSAP is open to Ontario residents of any age who are:

  • Canadian citizens
  • permanent residents, or
  • protected persons

Students must be in their final semester of course work.
