Course Description

 
This course will extend the skills and knowledge of teachers in the design, delivery, and assessment of the primary basic division program.  It focuses on the belief that primary programs include active, play-based learning and an individualized curriculum that has a particular emphasis on social and language development through all content areas. 
Candidates will participate in discussions that include readings, creating new tools for teaching and a culminating task on planning and communication.  This course leads to a basic qualification in the Primary Division.

Students must enroll in courses prior to the semester deadline date.  OSAP would directly reimburse you for the tuition fee.  If you have questions regarding Micro-credential funding, please contact Student Awards and Financial Aid at award1@uwindsor.ca.

Prerequisites

  • A "Certificate of Qualification" showing basic qualifications in two divisions:  i.e.  Junior, Intermediate, or Senior. 
  • "Certificate of Qualification" must be in good standing.  
  • An acceptable university degree
