Course Description

The murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor in the U.S. as well as the brutal beating of Defonte Miller and death of Regis Korchinski-Paquet in Canada have reinvigorated the Black Lives Matter movement and have sparked new discussions about the prevalence of anti-Black racism (ABR) in Canada.

This three-hour online class will help you to build your foundational knowledge on race literacy and consciousness by discussing a glossary of terms related to ABR, unconscious bias and contemporary ABR topics such as Black Lives Matter and the N-Word.

Section 1 of this class is offered to specified employees at the University of Windsor. If you have any questions please contact continue@uwindsor.ca.

Learners will receive an e-certificate for their participation in the class.
